Dew Sweeper Championship

This year’s Dew Sweeper Championship went off in the first light of Friday, August 7, at Trophy Lake Golf and Casting — shoes soaked through before the second hole, a northwest forest fog sitting low over the hills and ponds. The qualifying standard, as ever, was simply showing up at that hour.

The fog burned off into sunshine by the back nine. The round rewards whoever’s willing to meet the day before it’s asked anything of them, and this one paid out in full.
